    Doug Leonhardt
    Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage

    Executive Chef Doug Leonardt joined Western Racquet Club in 2024. Doug has been working in the culinary field since the age of 16. After discovering a love of cooking, he enrolled in the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon and completed his associate’s degree in culinary arts in 1996.

    Doug has held positions as head chef at Harry’s Bar and Grill and Executive Chef and operator of Café Marche in the Third Ward. In 2000, Doug opened Robbie’s Café in Mequon and ran a successful restaurant and catering business from 2000 to 2008. From 2008 to 2011 he ran his own private catering company. Doug's foray into the private club space began in 2011 when he accepted the Executive Sous Chef position at the Milwaukee Country Club in River Hills. In 2013 Doug became the Executive Chef at Blue Mound Golf and Country Club in Wauwatosa, where he worked for eight years. 

    In addition to his degree in culinary arts, Doug has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cardinal Stritch University.

    Courtney Koprowski
    Clubhouse Manager, Director of Banquets & Events

    Courtney Koprowski joined the Food & Beverage team at Western Racquet Club in 2014 as Clubhouse Manager and took on the added role of Director of Banquets and Events in 2019. Courtney oversees all aspects of front of the house dining and Club events. She is passionate, driven, and has 20 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Prior to joining the WRC team Courtney managed Jimmy’s Island Grill located in the Radisson Hotel and has planned events for The Westown Association which include the Downtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade, River Rhythms concert series, and downtown Farmer’s Market. She has also managed large corporate training seminars for Rockwell Automation. In addition to her passion for leading her team, she enjoys decorating the Club for the holidays and booking music for member events. Courtney holds a Hotel Management degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

    Melissa Januszko
    Food and Beverage Manager

    Melissa Januszko has 20 years of hospitality experience, including eight years of bar management at Fairways of Woodside Golf Course prior to joining WRC’s Food & Beverage team in August of 2014. Melissa was an intern for the Historic Brookfield Village developing their social media platform and marketing plan before deciding to take on a full-time role at WRC. She enjoys her time helping others, spending time with family, and exploring new fresh ideas for the food and beverage teams. She holds a business management degree and studied Science in Communications at University of Phoenix.
